As a Manufacturing Engineer at Valcom, you’ll analyze workflows, refine production methods, and implement cutting-edge equipment and tools to streamline operations. You’ll lead initiatives leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, resolve complex production challenges, and play a key role in achieving our business objectives. With your expertise in CAD design, ERP systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies, you’ll contribute to creating products that meet customer demands while driving innovation and excellence. This is a full-time, benefitted, position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. onsite in the manufacturing facility. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate the needs of the business.
Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship. Ideal candidates will be within commuting distance or currently based in Virginia or surrounding states.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, mistake-proofing or similar methodologies
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the electronics or emergency communications industry.
Knowledge of automation technologies and robotic systems.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Hands-on experience with equipment installation and troubleshooting.
PLC programming & troubleshooting skills.
