Description
Project Manager: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of projects pertaining to the manufacture and quality assurance of automotive accessories for automobiles produced by Toyota, Lexus, Volkswagen, Nissan and Hyundai. Lead cross-functional engineering, design, quality, and manufacturing teams in the design and manufacture of products such as spoilers, bumper covers, illuminative emblems, storage bins, crossbars, etc. Review customer specifications for automobile accessories and develop and execute project roadmaps, schedules, and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to client specifications. Conduct risk analysis using Minitab and implement mitigation strategies to address delays, quality issues, and budgetary constraints. Develop and implement manufacturing processes to maximize the operational efficiency of production as well as the quality of products. Use CATIA and other design tools to support engineering teams in prototype development and testing. Oversee quality inspections, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet North American automotive standards. Lead supplier audits and performance tracking, ensuring manufacturing partners meet quality and delivery expectations. Track project progress, document milestones, and manage workflow using project management tools such as Jira and MS Project. Maintain client communication, provide regular status updates, and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the duration of projects. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and changes to automotive regulations to ensure that products remain innovative while complying with all relevant standards.
Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This requirement may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. It requires skills and knowledge in Microsoft Project, JIRA, CATIA, TeamCenter, Minitab, and GD&T. The position requires incidental travel, 1% of the time, not more than several days a few times a year.
