Company History
It began in 1899 with the canning of evaporated milk. More than a century later, Silgan’s tradition of technological innovation and excellence has made Silgan the largest producer of steel and aluminum food cans and convenience ends. Silgan is also a leading supplier of plastic containers for personal care products and of metal, composite and plastic vacuum closures for food and beverage products. More than 4,300 people work in Silgan Containers facilities across the country. Silgan Containers corporate headquarters is located in Woodland Hills, CA.
